Requirements |
| - Driver’s licence required. We are looking for easy-going applicants that will show initiative, courtesy and punctuality, as well as time-management and interpersonal skills - Some days may involve long hours, including strenuous/physically demanding tasks - Valid drivers license, experience w. backroad/off-road driving, manual transmission -Good customer service skills -Strong sense of integrity & good judgement, comfortable working alone, under limited supervision |
Duties and Responsibilities |
| - Caretaker's assistants/summer staff will assist the Resident Managers with day-to-day operations on Hernando Island - Summer staff will report directly to the RMs and are expected to work 5 days per week, with 2 days off - Daily working time is expected to be 8 hours, with occasional overtime required at 1.5x pay - Staff are expected to stay on-island during the work-week, but will be able to take their off-days off the island - Accommodation in furnished, private suites are provided, including high speed internet, private kitchen + bathroom Primary tasks will include: - maintenance of island infrastructure (road clearing, lawn-mowing, some landscaping, building & equipment maintenance, small repairs) - providing services to island shareholders (taxis, propane& fuel deliveries, grocery deliveries lawn & yard maintenance, firewood deliveries, odd jobs) |

| - Start Date: 1st Assistant: March 21, Second Assistant: May 21 - The Resident Managers at Hernando Island are looking to hire, on behalf of Hernando Island Holdings Ltd., 1-2 seasonal workers for this upcoming summer. We have two potential openings; for March through October and April/May - August/September - Hernando is owned by its' 40 shareholder families, who spend their summers and holidays on the island, the RMs live there year-round - Transportation to and from the island, from Lund harbour, is provided |
