Requirements |
- Driver’s licence required. - Excellent command of the English language – both written and comprehensive - Familiarity with First Nations governance and administratio - Intermediate (minimum) MS Excel and Word skills - Power Point skills an asset - Minimum high school graduate - Must provide an acceptable criminal record check - Must sign a code of conduct and maintain strict confidentiality - Detail oriented, computer proficient, diplomatic and dependable |
Duties and Responsibilities |
- Assists the Government Secretary with preparing materials for EC and LA, including EC and LA orders. - Attends all EC & LA meetings and takes minutes of the meetings for approval and publication - Provides meeting support: boardroom bookings, boardroom set-up/clean-up, meal coordination - Arranges and organizes private and public functions, meetings, presentations and conferences including venues, catering and coordinating logistics - Ensures all travel arrangements are coordinated when required, ensures completion of all related travel authorizations and expense reimbursements - Raises purchase orders required for the manager’s signature - Ensures professional maintenance, security and confidentiality of files and documents - Fulfills requests for copies of laws, regulations, policies and orders - Prepares correspondence including keyboarding, formatting, proofreading, and data entry assignments. - Maintains highly organized files - External errands for Hegus and EC - Assists the Government Secretary as required - Other administrative duties as assigned |
