Requirements

- Competent in operation of boats and, ability to follow marine safety procedures (preferred)
- Ability to work flexible hours, and in all weather conditions
- Ability to carry out responsibilities and duties with and without supervision
- Previous experience working within an operational facility
- Previous experience operating equipment, as well as forklift and zoom boom
- Understanding of the basics of fish feeding, including FCR and SFR, fish nutrition, fish behaviour, and water quality (not required but an asset).
- Have or ability to pass a First Aid Level One certification
- Valid Class 5 drivers license

Duties and Responsibilities

Camp Shift Duties:
- Be on-call for alarms 24/7 after normal shift hours (must remain onsite)
- Solve problem causing the alarm with minimal support (hatchery manager may be contacted 24/7 to give voice assistance; other company staff are available to come in to help if an extra set of hands are required)
- Keep a tidy living space in camp shift housing
- Record all alarms in time sheet

Camp Shift Expectations:
- Technicians will respond to alarms using the best of their skills, ability and judgment
- Technicians will take proactive measures throughout their day shift to reduce the likelihood of alarms after normal shift hours
- Technicians will call for support when they have doubts that they are able to solve a problem on their own


Additional Job duties can be discussed with candidates individually.

Additional Details

The successful candidates must be able work a camp shift of 8 days on, 6 days off. There are opportunity to grow and move up in the company.
