Requirements |
- Driver’s licence required. - Class 5 license - First Aid - Criminal record check - Previous experience working with people with developmental disabilities and /or Autism is an asset - Positive role model - Effective problem solving skills, good written and verbal communication skills - Ability to follow through on plans and guidelines - CSW diploma or equivalent is an asset |
Duties and Responsibilities |
- To support a young man, Monday to Friday, with Autism in maintaining and developing a part time recycling business - To support him in developing physical, social, emotional and work skills that expand his competencies that enable him to function as independently as possible in the workplace - To support and mentor him in managing his personal, social, work and community relationships and obligations - The position works directly with the individual, collaborates with team members and liaises with employers, employment support agencies and training providers to optimize the quality and quantity of his access to paid employment |

- Shifts are Monday to Friday 10AM - 4PM (6 hours) - Benefits package available after a 3 month probationary period |
