Requirements

- Driver’s licence and vehicle required.
- Diploma or university degree in a relevant field
- 2+ years experience in event coordination, project management, marketing, community building and/or business development
- Organized, professional, and know how to work with diverse stakeholders
- Relationship building expertise
- Ability to foster and grow relationships within the community, business and school audiences
- Ability to inspire action, build momentum and encourage participation
- Ability to effectively promote opportunities and partnerships through excellent public speaking, presentations and face-to-face networking
- Outstanding written and verbal skills
- Proactive, goal-oriented and creatively resourceful
- Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively in a team as part of a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
- Manage a demanding schedule and prioritize responsibilities
- Proficient with MS Office, comfortable using social media tools, familiar with web development or experience working with Adobe Creative suite (asset)
- Lead, participate in and support evening and weekend community events
- Understand late or extra hours are sometimes needed

Duties and Responsibilities

- Establish and support financial literacy programs
- Proactively approach and develop partnerships with community organizations serving populations who could benefit from the financial literacy programs that we offer
- Promote our financial literacy offerings and play a supporting role for Each One Teach One trainers
- Manage youth engagement programs
- Lead our CULEAD youth mentorship program
- Organize/plan meetings and educational content, arrange guest speakers, and support CULEAD students in running the summer events program
- Facilitate community giving
- Co-ordinate corporate donations, sponsorships, and scholarships, make cheque presentations, and share impact stories via social media
- Champion environmental sustainability initiatives
- Work with internal stakeholders to develop environmental sustainability initiatives in each of our branches and offices
- Conduct a review of our current practices to establish a baseline, and track & measure the progress we make over time
- Lead community events
- Organize and execute community events and programs which may include but are not limited to Bike to Work Week, Movie Under the Stars, film screenings, Community Impact Day, and various summer events
- Collaborate
- Work closely with the VP of Community and Marketing to support development of community investment strategy, and with the Marketing Specialist to support the implementation and execution of marketing initiatives
