Requirements

- Driver’s licence and vehicle required.
- Minimum Bachelor of Social Work or other Social Science
- Minimum of One (1) year of case management experience
- Minimum of One (1) year experience with individuals with disabilities
- Criminal record check
- TB test
- First Aid and CPR
- Physician's note
- Minimum of two (2) written references
- Valid BCDL and Reliable vehicle to use for work purposes
- Experience in the public or non-profit sector
- Experience working with individuals with physical, developmental disabilities, brain injuries, and/or complex health issues
- Experience in the social services field
- Experience working in a team environment with little supervision
- Experience working with a case management team
- Demonstrated ability to deal with crisis and emergency situations
- Ability to manage a team of support staff
- Computer literacy and experience with databases
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent time management skills
- Knowledge of community resources
- Must be willing to travel throughout Powell River
- Occasional evening and/or weekend work
- Position includes rotating on-call duties

Duties and Responsibilities

- Exciting opportunity exists for the right individual to work in our Powell River Head Office as a Case Manager
- The successful candidate will be joining a progressive non-profit organization with growing opportunities
- We work with Children, Youth and Adults with various disabilities to provide them with resources to live healthy and fulfilling lives at home and in the community

Additional Details

- Hours are 37.5 per week, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. with hour unpaid lunch break
