Requirements

- Foodsafe certification
- Experience and drive to learn (apprenticeships available)
- Positive attitude
- Good coordination
- Ability to work following verbal instruction
- Strong communication and learning skills
- Team Oriented
- Knowledge of kitchen tools and equipment
- Maintain a flexible work schedule in order to be available for busy service times on line while completing all other work related responsibilities
- Ensure high visibility and availability to guests and associates

Duties and Responsibilities

- The Sous Chef is responsible for all staff's day to day shifts, while developing them into becoming better employees for the company and working closely with the Chef and General Manager to ensure optimum product quality and effective purchase measures are in place to provide high quality dining experience for all guests
- As a member of the management team, work to plan, coordinate, execute, supervise and evaluate all activities of a fast-paced kitchen, and provide excellent service to a wide variety of guests' needs
- Oversee all aspects of daily food production and quality control of all food items
- Direct and organize kitchen staff utilizing current culinary techniques in production, presentation and service
- Control costs for the kitchen and food program within the established guidelines including being involved with all Kitchen inventories as Chef deems important
- You will be involved in all aspects of the kitchen including supporting menu development, ordering of small wares, and hiring of any new kitchen team members developed by the Executive Chef
