Requirements

- Valid class 5 drivers licence
- Valid First-Aid Level 1 (We can cover cost of training if hired)
- Valid Food Safe Level 1 (We can cover cost of training if hired)
- 19 years or older
- High school graduate or equivalency
- Experience in social work or dealing with addiction beneficial but not required
- Satisfactory vulnerable sector criminal background check
- If in recovery, minimum 1 year of sustained abstinence

Duties and Responsibilities

- Facilitate morning menís group in order to organize and designate weekend chores and organize days events
- Provide clients guidance in their chores and activities
- General supervision of clients, logging any behavioral concerns in shift notes, filling out incident reports
- Developing personal relationships and providing a positive presence with clients
- Answering phones and logging messages when on site
- Monitoring client food preparation
- Distributing medications at designated times
- Resolving conflicts
- Enforcing house rules
- Checking bags for contraband
- Strict adherence to confidentiality policies
- Administering First-Aid when necessary
- Organizing and transporting clients to events and outings and monitoring those activities
