- Be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of the employment;
- Have been registered as full-time students in the previous academic year and intend to return to school on a full-time basis in the next academic year;
- Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act; and,
- Be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial/territorial legislation and regulations

- Class (5) BC driver's license or Government issued ID
- Minimum of one (1) year in university/collage
- Criminal Record Clearance
- Negative TB Test
- Food Safe
- First Aid/CPR C

Duties and Responsibilities

- Providing direct care, support, and assistance to individuals
- Following individual care plans
- Implementing personal protocols, schedules, and activities
- Accompanying/transporting individuals to appointments and activities in the community
- Completing daily documentation
- Hospitality duties: cleaning, cooking, laundry
- Working as a team player

Additional Details

- Exciting opportunities available for students to join a progressive non-profit organization as a Summer Student Community Support Worker. The positions entail working within a support team in residential and community settings assisting Adults who may have physical, developmental, mental health issues, and/or acquired brain injuries. Applicants must possess exemplary communication skills, be compassionate and energetic, and be comfortable supporting individuals with various disabilities.

- Position is 35 hours per week starting June 3 at $15/hour with shifts ranging from 7:00am to 6:00pm Monday to Friday, with the possibility of occasional evening or weekend work. (The Employer reserves the right to make changes to your schedule).
